"Juha Metso’s photographs have sparked interest for as long as they have been in the papers, in books and in exhibitions. He always seems so enthusiastic and touched by, for what is for many, uninteresting or too complicated and difficult. He has the ability to incite collaboration with unique individuals that many of us would not be able to approach or those we avoid because we hold them as impossible."

The exhibition brings together photos of Juha Metso from Sex Pistols and Iggy Pop. Featuring unique shots from Finnish music scene, such as Young J. Karjalainen in Hanoi Rocks fan t-shirt and the final moments of Juice Leskinen. "The images show the weird years and also their consequences," Metso estimates. "Now music business is a lot the cooler." The exhibition is based on the book of the same name that has just been published by Metso and Vesa Sirén.

Nature has been inspiring artists for centuries, and its beauty has been captured in paintings, sculptures, photographs and a variety of other medium. But some artists take the relationship between art and the environment a step further, creating works from nature itself or producing artworks that make bold statements about the natural world and the imprint mankind has left on it. In the exhibition, GLOBAL AWARENESS are artists who are commenting on man’s relationship with our planet. These artists have the power to make environmentalism a priority and bring green initiatives to the forefront of cultural conversations. Curator Jude Amsel. Artists: Charles Cohen, Linda Cunningham, Luis Zimad Lamboy, Luba Lukova, Juha Metso, Barry Stern, Joanne Rae Zeller
